Wow what a busy week in Wrens!

Another week has gone and we have all had fun!

We finished our money unit in math’s this week and the children certainly enjoyed showing us what they could do. By the end of the week we could add different amounts of money, select the correct coins and work out how to give change!

We found time to fit in some Yoga this week for our Brain breaks. Yoga helps children to manage their anxiety and helps to improve children’s emotional regulation and self-esteem. It also helps to increase children’s body awareness and mindfulness, whilst enhancing concentration and memory.

We started our RE unit this week. We read the story of David and Goliath and looked at the Jewish Symbol. David was really brave throughout the story and was able to fight Goliath, but someone gave him the strength and David knew he would be ok. Can you guess who helped David defeat Goliath? We each made our own Star of David.

In Science we made some rain gauges. We placed them around in the outside environment so next week we can measure the rainfall each day.

Say hello to our ‘Times table champions’ this week. They have been working hard on recalling instant facts from the 10 times tables. Excellent work and smiles all round.
